Irish You a Happy St. Patty's Day

St. Patrick's day isn't a huge gift giving holiday for most of us, but imagine the smiles you'll get by sharing a little something something with friends and family. Especially when that something something includes chocolate!

[We spotted the idea for this fun saying over on the Mom Advice blog. Check out their cute straw tags HERE.]

• Kraft cardstock
Irish You tag (download 5x7 HERE)
• 3" circle punch
• Adhesive
• Green treats (I used a box of Andes mints)

• Punch out tag with a 3" circle punch.
• Cut out a 3.5" scallop circle using the Silhouette
• Cut a strip of cardstock 5 1/2" long by 1 3/4" wide, snip some notches in the ends and fold in half
• Ink all of the edges (optional)
• Adhere everything together and add to a yummy green treat

• White cardstock
Irish You tag (download 5x7 HERE)
• Green glittery ribbon
• 4x6 clear bags
• Green or gold treats (I used Pearson's Mint Patties)

• Trim a piece of cardstock to 5 1/2" x 4", fold in half and snip notches out of both ends.
• Place the paper over the top of the treat filled bag, cut a piece of ribbon, fold like a bow and staple it all together.
• Adhere the 3" circle punched tag onto a 3 1/4" scallop circle and then adhere to the top of the ribbon.

So go ahead and make someone smile this st. patty's day...

• teachers
• neighbors
• kids
• students
• BFFs
• mom and pop
• your significant other

they could all use a little Irish cheer!

  1. Nice one! A simple yet good looking gift!

  2. This is AWESOME! I'll never hear the word "Irish" in the same way :)

  3. As a man who is 1/16 Irish, I can testify that these gifts transcend my watered down heritage and would be a welcome gift at this green time of year. What a great project, and please,...let me know if any of you need my address to send said gift to. (wink!)
